Jehst - England

Hitting you with more lyrical content today; a little taster from Jehst's new album, The Dragon Of An Ordinary Family. England is one of the hardest hitting beats I've heard in a while. Anyone living in the UK (or elsewhere in the western world) will surely be able to relate in some way to the lyrics Jehst venomously throws out over the melancholy piano.

You can grab a pre-order of the album on MP3 download, CD, and 12" from YNR shop.

  2. The music, as well as it fits the song and the actual message, turned me off at first. That being said, when I heard it over and just closed my eyes and heard what he has to say, things changed. Strong message, simple sounding rhymes, gives power to the listener. I'm really impressed with the overall outcome of the song. Just strong lyrics. So much approval.

  3. @D4 - That's one thing I like about this track. Jehst usually has pretty complex, subtle, and often confusing rhymes. He kind of drops all the metaphors and analogies here and just uses straight up imagery. It's pretty powerful given the subject matter.
